how is it that your hummingbird looks actually really decent, but all the faces are very.... amateur-ish? No offense intended it's just obvious that your experience in art is NOT faces. Faces are considered one of the hardest things to draw in the art world, so I recommend that you focus on each individual piece of the face as a way to get the fine details down about each facial piece, and when you do that draw each piece.
Well with the humming bird, I was working from a photo. It was for a class project at the N.B. College of Craft and Design. 2 I have a tendency to struggle with fine detail. That humming bird panting is probably one of the most detailed pictures I have. I tend to see the overall shape of something better than the fine details.
Well, Like I said, just work on the faces in separate forms, it'll do wonders! :D I hope to see more from you :D
